Growing up, I found it difficult to accept that good people rarely get rewarded. I spent the vast majority of my childhood wondering what could have been if my family weren’t making ends meet. Most days, I arrive home at the sight of my mum cooking lunch… and it breaks my heart that someone as highly educated, artistic, and talented as her could be forgotten just because of the weight of their pockets.
Having my confidence broken, I desperately find a way to live life to the fullest amidst my family’s financial troubles. It was not until I learned about the world of dancing that I began seeing the world in a much brighter light.
Leveraging Your Passion to Find Your Life’s Rhythm
After finishing 3 short yet intensive sessions, I was ready to own the dance floor. But every time I slip out of my dancing shoes, the joy I feel with the rhythm never goes away.
That’s when I realized that dancing wasn’t just a routine, the same way setting the plates for lunch was for my mum - it was passion.
And the best part? It ignites in and out of the dance floor… allowing me to channel my positivity through music, find the beauty in everything, and build my confidence to be a better artist, a better son, and a better person towards a better future.
How My Passion for Dancing Evolved from Showcasing to Sharing
Step by step, I started dominating different dance showcases, mastering dance genres, and completing complex routines—from the local to the international scene.
But I didn’t stop there… I also shared my love for dancing with others, which, to this day, is my biggest pride as a world-class instructor!
Today, I have dedicated over 3 decades of competitive experience to helping people express their true selves through music, connect with others, and groove to the beat of life’s rhythm!
With Galaxy Dance Academy, I have reached over THOUSANDS of people from all walks of life:
I was ranked TOP 7 in the World Professional Asia-Pacific Championship, representing Singapore and bringing the country to its highest global rank in history!
I became a Professional Master Coach and Choreographer in the art of Ballroom, Latin, and Stage Performance Dancing, teaching students and protégés world-class choreography that pushes them to become confident, creative, and competent dancers!
Together with my wife, Olesya Eremeeva, I built Galaxy Dance Academy from humble beginnings to becoming Singapore’s premier dance school, having been featured in various accredited institutions such as Channel NewsAsia, The Straits Times, Radio 91.3FM, and the World Dance Council.
